About Joe


Joe is a dedicated and loyal individual with over 25 years experience at a senior management/director level, specialising in residential development, project and construction management, from concept to completion across Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland


Throughout his career, Joe has extensive experience in all areas of the housing sector, from land purchase to final completion. His knowledge and his pragmatic and organised approach has served the industry well for over two decades.  He has been at the helm of the delivery of thousands of homes and their associated infrastructure.  He understands the challenges and how to overcome them.


Joe is a true advocate of construction industry, having implemented a multi award-winning Apprenticeship programme, delivering on an objective to achieve a 20% apprentice workforce, and enjoying a 95% employee retention rate.  


Sustainability has been a huge focus for Joe, particularly in the last few years having driven and set out the Sustainability Strategy for Scotia Homes.  This has led to them being the first developer in the UK to achieve a Next Generation Project Gold award, followed swiftly by achieving the 1st and 2nd silver awards for separate developments.



Key Achievements:

•         Joint Winner in the Homes for Scotland “People|Place|Planet” Award May 23.

•         Finalist in Scottish Homes “Excellence in Sustainability” Award June 23.

•         Led the development of Scotia Homes’ 5 Year Sustainability Plan and Strategic Objectives following their Carbon Assessment and Embodied Carbon Assessment, targeting 15% & 10% reductions per annum.

•         Led Scotia Homes to being the first Next Generation Project Gold development at the design stage in the UK. This was followed by achieving the 2nd and 3rd Silver Awards in the UK for 2 of their other developments.

•         The successful delivery of new urban style mixed use developments, on Consortium / shared Developer residential developments, in line with Creating Places requirements.

•         The successful establishment of a new residential developer, Lotus Homes Ltd., managing all operations from initial inception, branding & marketing, to on-site construction and sales.

•         The creation of Business Plans and strategies for developers’ portfolios, for Board and Bank approval and funding.

•         During the recession, led the restructuring of a Housing Developer Business, working closely with NAMA and all Banks, to reduce debt and agree work out strategies for each development.
